What do you think about Prostitution?..?

So who in this thread has gone to a prostitute? Someone close to me knew a call girl who's intention was to make a huge sum of money and leave the industry by the time she was 25. She succeeded. I know plenty of women who sleep around for free.



Male gigolos are pretty popular just across the border. Rich bored housewives go shopping and have a male gigolo for company blah blah. that reminds me - hey Debbie, when are we going across the border again?

I interviewed someone yesterday who's just done a bachelors in Criminology. She did a research paper on prostitution and as part of it she had to pose as both a prostitute and a customer. She got an oral price list when she was a customer, of the charges for a male prostitute. When she started giving me an -um- blow-by-blow -ermm- account I had to tell her to cease and desist immediately. We had a bit of a laugh.



I've never been to a prostitute, I don't know any prostitutes (cept someone who posed as one), and I'm not sure I know any girls who sleep around for free. I know a few guys who do though



In HK, as we know, lots of people go out/put out for rich (soulless/ughsome) boyfriends so they can get designer clothes and jewelry. Isn't that a form of prostitution? I know that as soon as they stop getting "paid" they move on.



I wanted to go across the border this or next weekend, gotta get some stuff from my sister in the US first... so lets do it, will call you when the parcel arrives.

I once knew a girl that was from the heart of the US...Enterprise, Alabama. She was the kind of girl who would go hunting with an ouzzi. She decided she wanted to write a book on the "exotic dancing" business...and became one as part of the effort. She changed...and not for the better. Bottom line is that, according to some statistics I've seen, about 90% of the girls who get into that sort of thing (including prostitution), never leave. We usually hear about the exceptions...it would be tough to glamorize the rule, in truth. Views on and the values of life change...and not for the better. It is a sort of spiralling down for most of those who get into it thinking that they will leave it once they have made "enough" $. When asked how much money was "enough", Rockefeller replied, "just a little bit more." And so it goes...

Once you cross a line the next time becomes a little easier, then much easier, then much much easier, until there's no more thought involved at all...



Much like white collar crime. You rip off a colleague once, or embezzle just a little, or do some insider trading, or fudge a few numbers, and so it goes... and then a whole lot of little people lose all their savings...



Give me an honest prostitute any day over lying thieving white collar bastards. I watched sh1t like this happen and railed against it for a long time before quitting. And I wasn't at all surprised when enron happened, because the crap that gets swept under the carpet with some of these mncs has to be seen to be believed.
