Ron! I totally agree with your comments. They had an interesting stage presence though. And yes they've been the happy victims of great marketing. I don't like to make comments about whether people will be around or not in the future. When I was a kid, I remember people saying "Madonna? She's some fat chick singing about being a virgin. Yeah, they were fun to watch on the telly!

Generally my "longevity guessing" instincts are pretty good, but I haven't kept an exact track of my hits & misses - lol. I remember when I saw the first episode of Friends - when I heard that dang perky theme song "I'll be there for you", I knew the show would be a hit. I've never watched a whole episode of it myself, though!

you are right Tatu has a good marketing.

But what I don't like on these girls is : that they are just playing with all their fans.

Her parents know that their are not lesbian and their are not friends - for one year or so they would stop being tatu - then they succeed with the music, and they decided to be "good lesbians" again.

To play with so many fans isn't fair and thats why I don't like them.

Silly marketing in this world.

Be what you are and everything is allright, but "act in a role" cannot be successful for a longer time.

I know what you mean Kristina - however it's good to study the marketing and see what makes things a success, without publicity and marketing, even the good music wont succeed. How do we appeal to the public without marketing?
