Yup, yup, yup. The mailing package, the CD, the case, the letter and other notes often get seperated. That's a good point to remember - have the name, email and/or real-mail address, phone number on the disc, too.

Actually Phil, I cannot ask Drooly to help without knowing if he's busy or something, that's not polite. I know some labels on his town that works with my genre, if he ever wants to send them my package i'll be grateful but i don't want to abuse of my friendships, you know. I tend not to get any help unless offered that's what is fair for my friends, don't want to put anyone in a compromise,
i'm very thankful you both and all the others though, your words have been really read thoroughly, and i understand most of it.
when you talked about attorneys i made some approachment in my area, honestly phil, this is like the tropic, not very serious. I need to be serious.
second, i have a neat picture and demos of three (some with an extra fourth ) track only in it, each with its pc printed cover as demo.
i have to polish some other details though

i live in the canaries
canaries, sadly it's a very tropical site, they like beaches, palms, village orchestra playing easy covers, and not much more. There are no many pubs you can play in, and not many acts that get out the genre of LATIN, SALSA and so forth, unless a few exceptions of silly "chill" and some "techno songs" that are experimental in some small labels (they don't get acts) and that everyone dislike too.
if you approach to a "supposed to be attorney or music promoter" and he ignores you at the very start you're a singer to offer you in a very doubtful way, to make model and publicity things and when i say doubtful i say that i'm not silly, well
that's the truth in the place i live
it's a pretty place for holidays
not a good place to success as a musician.
well, Phil, i don't know if drooly is an attorney or not, is he, he's never told me. I know he's sort of busy with hsi band and i don't want to put anyone in compromise, that he doesn't care and have time, welcome be! But besides any of my friends know in advance that any help is welcomed, if any can help i think they would do already. I wouldn't doubt drooly would have voiced to help me in what he could already, if he hasn't offered himself for that whe i opened this thread, maybe it's out of his possibilities at the moment, and i have to take his good advice and not to think if he has to do more.
Mike and drooly have helped me with their experience, with certain points of view, with their advice, encouragement and have blessed me with a hopefully long longg frienship.
I do know i can count with him but i also have learnt that i don't have to push anyone but accept willingly the help that is offered when it comes.
isn't it drooly?
drooly ? hehhehe
you see? he may be busy
and hopefully making great music )
Hugs

i'm preparing the press kit, photo and demos for spanish labels submission, not meaning that i'm gonna send them myself but it can take a while for me to prepare and print them all. I may send up to five to spanish labels, dunno which ones but more ore less five, out of spain i agree i don't think i may be considered if it's not sent by someone who represents me, but actually i'm still not sure what i'll do.
thanks for replying you all.
so far next friday i may have a radio interview, local, but well, at leasst it's free promo and so on, to keep on working

Pris, I simply have too much on my plate with my own band to take on a serious side-project, but if there's anything specific you need done in Montreal, I'll be more than happy to help....
And Phil, I see nothing wrong with Pris contacting labels herself...she certainly has the mind, and the people skills. As far as the language issue.. well - it would be good to have an English person proof any written material... - but I think her charming spoken English would actually be an asset..
