Mary's Prayer.....

I'm humbled....

Oh - man - the vocal harmonies are stellar.....

Paul... - is this you playing LIVE.....?????????

uh.

all I can say is that I'm humbled..... - First of all - I love this tune..

Secondly, for a live production, may I say with all due moderation, that this is outstanding......

wow....

Thank you drooly...:) Iam blushing now...:) yeah it was live in front of 300 pond life.....:lol .. thats what we used to call them.....The audience...:lol ... I wish you could understand the "working mans club" culture....... Here is a brief......

They had a Red, amber and green light system either at the back of the club, or above the stage...... So if the band played too loud it would go to red and cut the power to your P.A........ not good for the P.A! that most bands, including us worked DAM hard to pay for and keep!! :) ....

No women alowed in the "Bar".. most clubs had a... Bar, lounge and Concert room......

They had air conditioning, but was never used as the pond life could not hear the bingo........!!

And BINGO ruled...... Nothin stopped the BINGO!!:lol

Most clubs where run by Dinasores( spelling??)..... Reall men, 18 pints a night at the same club, EVERY night.... reall men eh??...:lol

You could have the best multi million selling live band in the world on their stage..... and they would not have a clue... generaly!!

I could go on and on... but dont wanna bore ya :)

Why did we do it you may ask??..... cos the money was good is the answer and I at the time was doin it as a living!!....

I went back to Plumbing and now music is a Hobby:)

Now I would rather play a Bar for NOTHING than do a WMC for £500...... Honest!!:)

Anyway thanx for the listen Drooly..... I have more........ will upload them later....:)

Paul.

Paul, Drooly, Ace!!!!!!! Thanks so much! I'm relieved that it didnt take that long to d/l.

Ace - whats a wmf file?? If you put that file on your site, wouldnt I need copywrite release from Golden Earring or something??? How does that work with a cover? When we get a decent recording of Mother and another coupla originals I'll send it over...

Yeah the band guys - they are simply fantastic musicians. Hard to believe, but we barely rehearsed with John and Harold. They learnt about 35 songs in about a month, we had four - 2 hour rehearsals as a group, and simply started gigging. What you see was only our 5th gig, so its likely we'll get better :D .

Paul, if you come to HK, we'll make you hit those keyboards. :wgrin

Drooly, yes, I love doing that song. We also do the likes of Shakira, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge (bring me some water), Skunk Anassie (weak), No doubt, Hole, Pink... very ecclectic, and oooooooo lots of fun :D

Paul: Mary's Prayer - wonderful. I loved those tinkling keys! And the band is so tight. How many of you were there?

How do you get such wonderful clarity on the recordings? I guess we'll have to have a proper PA system to get it off, no?

Who is singing, still Angus? Great voice, again.

You are right. It SUCKS to be infront of an unappreciative audience, such as in a hotel lobby or bar. Talking amongst themselves and doing other stuff while the pore artist performs their heart out. I couldnt do it. I've seen other really good artists just do their thing and leave. They get jaded after sometime.

it helped me covert AVI to RM just great! I needed to get a new version to convert from mpeg to rm, but since i already had an AVI file (albeit with watermark!!), I used that.

"This watermark" thing is annoying! Great sound! Good recording! That Colin can play! You had lots of room to get off stage and let the guys get some attention! hahahahaha Excellent job. It only took me 1 minute to download. On broadband!

As a publisher, I can say - Debbie would actually need some arrangement with the publishers of the song. If it was on her own website - then probably OK to skip payment (I shouldn't be saying this!! hahaha) as Heisha is not world-famous.

However since Interconnected website has big goals and will attract a lot of attention, I'd probably not put it there.

It's easy enough to pay for licence though....

I'm downloading both Deb's vid and Paul's Marys Prayer.

I need to license that s/w - but want to shop around first.

I always get out of the way during the instrumental bits, even if I have to stand on someone's toes (which is often-I'm quite used to backing into somebody, esp. at the Wanch! hahahahahaha). It's wonderful to see the others getting the attention they deserve, and egging the audience on!! It doesn't happen enough. And Harold is such a star, but always hidden :(
