This is the flag of GERMANY:







In Germany we make a distinction between the "German flag" (the one without the eagle, only showing the colors black/red/gold) and the "German state flag" (the one with the eagle). The state flag represents Germany as a whole (all local countries of wich there are 16) and their combined strength



Germany is the land of the Eagles if you don't know that. In my neighbourhood (5 miles diameter) alone there are at least around 100 big ones

You can find the eagle on the old German national money (before the Euro)







...on the new Euro coins as well







...and of course in a central position in the German parliament ("Bundestag")

I love that eagle snapshot in your garden, but poor unfortunate animal its attacking - I cant tell - is that a mongoose or squirrel or cat?
